For more than half a century, Nikon has made advances in the field of lens technology, and has now introduced the Nikon See Series, a complete ultra premium spectacle lens range.

Through the See Series, Nikon continues its progress in revolutionising coating technology, and as such, the new SeeCoat was born.

When to use

All wearers will benefit from Nikon SeeCoat coating as it will:

  • Reduce reflections – reduce ghost images and minimise bloom to create enhanced visual performance.
  • Reduce glare – improved night vision, and improved vision on computers and in the office environments.
  • Lenses are easier to clean and keep clean.
  • Stronger lenses mean reduced scratches on the lens surface.
  • Highlight the eyes - improved cosmetics.

Features & Benefits

Feature 1 - Nano Flex Technology

Tougher in daily use as a result of new Nano Flex Technology (optimisation of the Primer & Hardcoat compounds for improved Mechanical resistance). Using Power Guard Technology, the hardness of the AR coating is improved.

Based on durability tests (Bayer test), Nikon SeeCoat has proven to be two times more resistant to scratching than an ECC coated lens.

Feature 2 - Dust free

Dust Free using new Static Diffusion Technology - negative charge does not build up upon cleaning the lens surface unlike conventional coatings

Feature 3 - Easier to clean for a longer time

With the lowest contact angle of any coating, Seecoat Plus starts off being extremely Hydrophobic and Oleophobic, while remaining as such for approximately 2 years (based on 3 wipes per day)

Feature 4 - Anti-reflective clarity

Anti-reflective clarity achieved by Advanced Light Control & Broadband Technology - 30% more layer applied compared to conventional super hydrophobic coatings.
