Varilux Ipseo New Edition with Eyecode

Tailored to wearers' unique physiology

Today's presbyopes are looking for precision, a true visual sharpness rather than just comfortable vision. Through the combination of Frame Data (vertex distance, pantoscopic angle & wrap angle) & Behavioural Data (Head / Eye ratio & stability co-efficient) from the Varilux Ipseo design concept, along with the Eye Data provided by Eyecode, wearers can now benefit from exceptional visual clarity in a design which is tailored to their exact physiological needs.

When to use

  • All wearers requiring uncompromised vision & best optical performance
  • Any Progressive wearer seeking a premium product made using the latest innovative technology

Features and Benefits

Tailored to wearers' unique physiology

  • The only progressive truly customised according to wearer physiology.
  • Utilises Essilors’ Dual Digital Vision (DDV) technique to tailor both sides of the lens to the wearers specific needs.
  • A unique design for each wearer, based on their natural combination of head and eye movements.
  • Eye-movers who scan more across the lens surface enjoy 60% wider acuity zones - giving them the widest possible clear visual area.
  • Head-movers enjoy 30% softer peripheries to almost eliminate the swim effect.
  • All patients will experience faster adaptation, greater clarity and more natural vision.

Patients' initials micro-engraved

  • Acknowledgement of patients' individuality.

Proven Varilux design technology

  • Prismatic effects are controlled by splitting the addition between the front and the back surfaces of the lens, in order to best suit the wearer's head and eye movements.

Patient Benefits:

The image stabiliser for head movers
 - A greater proportion of the addition value is located on the concave side of the lens in order to minimise the amount of swim / sway perceived by the wearer. Having more addition of the rear surface acts as an "image stabiliser" for head movers.

The image magnifier for eye movers
 - A greater proportion of the add is located on the convex side of the lens. This results in a greater image magnification over a wider area of clear vision, ideal for scanning a page. Having more of the addition on the front surface of the lens acts as an "image magnifier" for eye movers.

Variable corridor length

  • Automatically selected by the calculation program based on given Fitting Height: from 14mm, in 1mm steps, up to 18mm.
  • 14mm corridor length designed purposely for small fashionable frames.
