Introducing Transitions XTRActive, the darkest everyday lens

13 December 2010 Filed under: What's New?

As with Transitions VI, Transitions XTRActive provides COMFORT, CONVENIENCE and PROTECTION. Transitions XTRActive lenses are a new choice for patients who are looking for an adaptive everyday lens that offers superior darkness outdoors in the brightest conditions, moderate activation behind the windscreen of a car and a slight tint indoors.

Transitions XTRActive lenses provide: 1. Outstanding visual COMFORT. 2. The CONVENEINCE of wearing the same pair of glasses inside and outside. 3. PROTECTION against UV rays and glares

Transitions XTRActive is designed with a different formulation of photochromic dyes which not only activate with UV but are also activated by the lower part of the visible light spectrum. Visible light activation allows them to get even darker outdoors in direct sunlight and allows them to moderately activate behind the windscreen of a car.

Transitions XTRActive lenses are: The best everyday choice for extra darkness at all temperatures. They have a slight tint when indoors and achieve a moderate level of darkness behind the windshield of a car. For those patients who want an extra dark lens and may prefer a slight tint indoors.

Transitions VI lenses are: The best everyday choice for darkness, fade speed and indoor clarity. They are the perfect everyday lens for patients who prefer a clear lens indoors, but want the convenience of a lens that darkens outdoors to provide comfort and UV protection.
